I was saving the smoothest and most perfectly blended discs for something special, and that something turned out to be these earrings. More restrained than many, but still vivid.

Not sure why, but a series of semi-circles of the same size makes me think of fish. A new variation of a favorite design, and I’m liking it more than the original.

Feeling really good about the minimalism/maximalism balance here. And feeling really good that I got to reference Fiddler on the Roof in the name. Naming is my least favorite part but I’ve been letting myself just call them whatever comes to mind, associatively. Maybe a musical theater collection is next…

Not for the faint of heart, but also not too heavy at all. The warm-colored gradient takes care of the asymmetry with this one. They can be worn with the curve facing in or out. Balanced and bold either way.

Asymmetrical polymer clay earrings with matching blue jump rings. The donut-shaped pieces might be my favorite. They just add a lot of visual interest while still blending in. I really like the mix of flat and gradient color in this one too.

Pushing asymmetry and size with these. They remind me of fishing lures, so I named them after that percussion instrument that looks like a fish. Strong elementary school memories from that one.

I wasn’t happy with these as a matching pair, but then I turned one around and flipped the direction of the arc. Then I was on to something. These are mostly red and magenta, but there’s a tinge of yellow and orange on one side. Both can be worn in either ear.

These discs use a mix of the terrazzo and watercolor styles I developed. The yellow clay is the most translucent, and my favorite parts are where it overlaps with the more pigmented white or red.

Still coming up with a name for this technique, but it feels really geological. The design goes all the way through and doesn’t just sit on the surface.

These are pretty silly. I made these with my favorite, very precise technique of spreading our a bunch of random shapes and seeing what patterns popped out. It’s pretty tricky to get the balance right when you’re hanging pieces off-center like this, so I’m proud of them.

This pair pushes asymmetry to its limit, and hangs the shapes in slightly off-kilter ways. It’s a good thing the clay bakes so light, so these pieces with presence don’t have to weigh on you.
